And 205 XS
Doesnt it have a more irregular tonation ? I recently tested an old carbu Monste 900 and that sounded pretty different from the later fuel injected ones.
I would say raw, but my Clio does also sound raw but in another way, hard to describe
But then a 911 from 1980 which obviously has fuel injection also sounds 'different' ... am i confusing things now ?
I should actually try to make the sound of a carburetted car myself and post it on here ... but then i don't want to make a fool of myself
Carburettorhead Bim ( preferably with an automated choke).
PS.
Do you think there should be a difference in sound ?

Last weekend i had the opportunity to travel along with a friend and his 911 GT3 RS 3.8 ... an atmospheric 3800cc flat six with 470 hp on the bench ... . I almost like everything about this car ... it would be the perfect successor to my Clio RS ;-) ... d...

One of my nabours has an older GT3 as his second car (the first being the Cayenne. His 996 only has 360HP, but what a sound :-) Take care on the road Hans

This GT3 RS has 450 (470 bench) ... but i really would not mind the 996 GT3. Did you ever get the chance to have a passenger ride ? Don't hesitate, it's quite addictive :-) Filip
I know this race track very well! :)

Nice sound. Still, I prefer the sound of the older versions with the detonation of the carburators. ;) Best, Nicolas

I was convinced it had a (or more) carburetors ! I want to add another vehicle, my Bimota YB9 with the four in line 600 cc Yamaha engine ... my friend did some serious changes to the carbs and also fitted 4 separate K&N filters .... the sound the air-...
But they catch fire!
By: patrick_y : October 30th, 2014-10:21
Beautiful car, when they don't self immolate. Too expensive, and too red hot (literally) for me. The 991 models seem to catch fire even when sitting in a parking garage. Here in California, prices have skyrocketed past the what I think its worth level.
Hahaha !

Hi Patrick, i was browsing thru my popsts and found out i hadn't left a reply :-) Well, the 991 has/had some issues with the risk of catching fire and several did soo. Porsche solved that matter, the way how they did that is another story ;-) . I would pr...
I haven't really driven any of them...

I haven't driven any of the GT3 vehicles extensively. But I think I would like the 991 GT3 with PDK very much. But here in the US, the price is $140,000 (which is better than in some other countries, but still a lot of money) and the waiting list is sever...
