Sunday morning drive: PuristS do some canyon carving on Angeles Crest Highway

Apr 21, 2014,08:56 AM

PuristSPro moderator Don Corson and his lovely Frau, Gabriele, visited Los Angeles over Easter weekend.

In typical PuristS' fashion, local PuristS feted them with fine food and wine at Capital Grill (see report on TimeOut)

The next morning, despite the 7 bottles of wine the night before (plus an interesting flight of American whiskey) a smaller group of hardcore locals
took to Angeles Crest Highway to show our Swiss friends that yes, there are fine driving roads in Southern California.

Our platform still doesn't like iOS so unfortunately picture uploading is unbearably cumbersome; hopefully the app will be released soon.

Cheers,

TM

. . . that would've been loads of fun. Can I make up for it with an invite to an interesting spot in my neck of the woods? Fish 'n chips with a view that's tough to match. Nice drive, too . . .

You know, I keep thinking about Angeles Crest vs Mil Portrero vs Mulholland over in Malibu...Angeles Crest seems safest with the most strategically placed runoffs, but for the sheer views and variety of landscapes Mil Portrero is hard to beat. Looking for...

Saw the proof that LA has beautiful driving venues and had a great "car tasting". Porsche, Corvette and FR-S, all very different, each with its own character, each fun in its own way. Now we do a repeat presentation in Switzerland. Ready to go guys? Don
