Volvo P 1800: An extraodinary encounter.
Ca you imagine it? On the road for Lille, I decided to make the refill in a gaz station on the motorway... And Dang! I fell on another Volvo P 1800.
I couldn't believe it. The other owner of the 1800 either!
So we started to chit chat, and he told me.... That he knew my car, as one of his friends took a picture of mine when I was driving it in Paris. which happens quite often as I drive it every day.
His P 1800 S is from 1966. A delicious white vanillia. In great shape, too.
In the motorway, after the refill... We made a good 50 kilometers together.

And mine, parked at the hotel.
Interesting to see how these modern cars are insipide, compared to these marvelous vintage cars....

My dream car !!! Financially waaaay out of my reach off course ... so i had to be 'content' with .... THIS !!!! Bim ...

Saw two in California this summer...
Although never at the same place. Both were driving by so I couldn't get a photo unfortunately. But what good fortune to see two at the same petrol station at the same time.
Almost never.... Same here in France. I saw less than 10 during these last 2 years.
If I count the three I saw at my garagist! But two at the petrol station, that never happened, and I doubt it will happen again before a long time! Best, Patrick. Nicolas.
