GT4 vs GT3

I suppose Porsche listened to the purist customers still wishing for a manual, so the best choice is a manual in the 'slow' GT4 were lap times aren't really important and PDK in the car that has to prove a few things.
I think if you want a Porsche (Cayman) with PDK you can go for the somewhat softer GTS which i think can be equipped with a PDK; most people (me included) will not feel a lot of difference i guess between a Cayman GTS or a GT4 .. well, the feel will be different but i doubt lap times will really differ a lot.
I'm still not convinced with PDK, DSG, ZF or whatever but i will soon find out when taking delivery of the Beemer this summer, the main reason i preferred the 120d above the Golf GTD was the gearbox. That ZF 8-speed is simply amazing, i tried several BMW's and several Audi, VW'w automatics and every time i didn't like DSG (PDK) except for that 85 hp VW Polo.
I still enjoy the rawness of the Clio and it's manual gearbox, in the morning during winter after firing it up i sometimes need half a minute to get it in first gear
.. or reverse ... from time to time i miss a gear which goes with some noises you definitely don't want to hear
... In my case ending a day doesn't matter what gearbox as i mostly work home towards the evening but even when i leave Paris around midnight after a very long day i really enjoy 'poking' around. The automatic ... ? Not looking forward to it when driving home after a long day at Nicolas' office.
