Is being 8-inches longer enough?

I got a look at this new Mercedes too. It's a stretch with a few tweaks. Is that enough? I don't know. These girls didn't think so ...

Or maybe they were talking about something else, I dunno. Back to the cars.

Yes, it was longer. But not obviously so.

I recently had the chance to ride a few times in a friend's 2014 S600 V12 and honestly there wasn't much visible difference between his black MB and this brown Maybach.

No doubt a more realistic strategy than the earlier Maybach version which cost them billions ... to recall how it happened, climb into the Way Back Machine with me and return to 2003 as Mercedes unveils the Maybach ...

Two-tone green? Was that really what we liked 7 years ago???

And again in 2010. Isn't THIS what you want from your luxury car?

I do like this car but the upholstery looks a bit baggy on the side here.

Apparently this was not the choice of nobility and captains of industry, as only 3000 or so were built.

But we know a lady who owns one, and when it sits outside with her driver when she's visiting, it's pretty darn impressive, for our street anyway.

A Blast from the Past!

I like your time machine. And honestly, I like the old Maybach. That car feels much more special and looks much more special than the new one! But the new one is much more likely to become a commercial success. Due to pricing and positioning. But it's sad...
