What's cooler . . .
Nov 28, 2014,02:45 AM
. . . than a hot rod?
A very special rod under construction at my brother-in-law's shop. Old school, '30 body on a '32 frame.
The trunk lid . . .
. . . will be louvered; the hood will likely receive the same treatment.
Bug-eye headlights . . .
. . . not quite sure of the origin . . .
. . . of the tail lights.
Custom made Halibrand-type wheels, front . . .
. . . and . . .
. . . rear.
Wilwood disc brakes . . .
. . . on all corners.
Halibrand quick-change rear diff . . .
. . . with billet axles.
Not even a dollop of Bondo . . .
. . . anywhere. Every panel, every joint, every seam . . . shaped by hand.
Drivetrain will be small block Chevy backed by a 3-speed Turbo Hydramatic; completion slated in the next year or so.
As pure a rod as can be; the patron underwriting its construction definitely has a hot rod heart.
