I never thought I'd be buying one of these

But the Wandering Purist informed me, the orange paint seduced me, and my wife convinced me.
I should have bought Tim J's BMW roadster, but I already have two red roadsters and my wife needed a present that is NOT another JLC Reverso.
Last spring, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne said he hoped to sell the minimum number of 500e cars possible to satisfy the state of California.
"I hope you don't buy it because every time I sell one it costs me $14,000," he said about the 500e. "I'm honest enough to tell you that."
Although the 500e starts at $32,650 before tax credits, consumers are not willing to pay a price that covers all Fiat's costs so it loses a lot of money on the 500e, so there are special lease deals that cost the company even more money.
"I will sell the (minimum) of what I need to sell and not one more," Marchionne said of the 500e.
But Marchionne isn’t about to turn his back on America’s largest automotive market, so he needs Californians to embrace the Cinquecento elettrico in a way that he hasn’t.
Consider it embraced.
I've noticed the paint is already covered with tiny, confused bugs licking the paint and wondering where the nectar is
Speaking of embraces, we are going to have to keep clothes and hands clean when driving this car - no running down to the salvage yard for used parts, or slathering ourselves with sunblock and racing to the beach.
Who could resist a face like this?
I like the thought of running out in my pajamas to "fill 'er up"
No performance reviews are available yet, although I did "burn rubber" a couple of times already.
By accident, of course.
